Introducing Mark

Mark trained as an accountant before spending eight-and-a-half years in the IT industry. Deciding to move into financial services, Mark started as a self-employed independent adviser in 1988 and found himself owning 50% of the business in 1989. He became the majority shareholder by completing a management buyout in 2014 and assumed the role of CEO.

In 2015, Mark launched our fund management business, Bowmore Asset Management. His role now centres on driving the strategic direction of the Bowmore Wealth Group, while still finding time to advise his clients on a wide range of issues, predominantly how to reduce their Inheritance Tax liability.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

Visualising our business growth and development. I still get a kick out of adding significant value to clients’ financial plans.

How do you like to spend your time outside of work?

Playing golf. Keeping fit. Skiing. Watching TV dramas.
