Your client journey

Our clients gain confidence from knowing we are by their side throughout their financial life journey.

01

Discovery meeting

We start by understanding you: what your current situation is, what you want to achieve by working with us, what your ambitions are for your money and your future, along with any concerns you have.

In some cases, clients have a clear idea of what they want their future to look like. In other cases, clients are seeking our help to establish their aims. Whatever your starting point, at the end of this meeting we will have agreed your objectives in working with us, and how we will help.

This first meeting is also a chance for you to get to know us a bit better and ask us any questions you have. We believe it’s very important you have a chance to get to know us and understand how we will add value to your life before you part with any money. For this reason, we do not charge any fees unless and until you decide to proceed with our relationship.

02

Solution planning

Using the financial information we will have asked you to provide, we will build up a comprehensive picture of your current financial situation and how well your current arrangements are working for you. We will examine how close you are to achieving your goals if you stay on your current path and conduct detailed research into other options open to you. We will then analyse whether these options are more likely to produce the results you want. Whether that is making better use of all the available tax efficiency opportunities, seeing greater returns on your investments, or changing your pension arrangements to enable you to retire sooner, we will explore every avenue open to you in pursuit of your goals.

03

Recommendations

We will present our recommendations to you as a comprehensive financial life plan. Your plan will show you how close you are to achieving your goals if you stay on your current path, along with what would happen if things change.

We’ll show you the likely financial impact of different life events and changes to your circumstances and demonstrate how you can protect your finances for the future. And we will also show you what would happen if we made changes to your current financial arrangements. We will present to you a range of options for you to consider and make our recommendations on the options we believe give you the greatest chance of meeting your wealth creation and wealth preservation goals.

We will give you plenty of opportunities to ask any questions you have to allow you to make a fully informed decision about your next steps.

04

Implementation

If you choose to move forward with our recommendations, we will implement the actions required, taking as much of the administrative burden from you as possible. We will ensure that changes to your arrangements are made swiftly, efficiently and professionally, and that you are kept informed of progress at all times.

05

Regular review

Building wealth is a long-term strategy. For that reason, we encourage you to see financial planning as an ongoing process – a journey. Although our ongoing services are optional, our clients often tell us this is where they gain the greatest value from our relationship.

Our annual review meetings with you provide us with the opportunity to assess how well your arrangements are working for you, and chart your progress towards your goals. Where you have experienced changes in your circumstances, we can adjust your plan accordingly to ensure you are not thrown off course. Where new opportunities have arisen that allow us to achieve your objectives more quickly or more efficiently, either from changes in legislation or from the release of new financial products into the market, an ongoing relationship allows us to take full advantage of these opportunities without delay.

the benefits of an ongoing relationship

Working closely with you in this way also means you have plenty of opportunities to tell us about any changes to your aims and ambitions that may need to be reflected in your financial plan.

As a Bowmore Financial Planning client, you will feel secure, knowing that you are welcome to contact us if you need the answer to a question, or reassurance and guidance that you are making the right decisions with your money.
